Our Mission
“Connecting people to Jesus and one another.”
Everything we do at Superstition Foothills Baptist Church flows from six core values. These aren’t just words on a page. They shape how we worship on Sunday, how we serve our neighbors through the week, and how we love one another as a community.
Value 01
Worship
Through traditional hymns and modern praise, we desire to respond to and worship God through music and learning.
“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!”
Psalm 95:6Value 02
Discipleship
Through small groups and Bible studies we aim to grow in our understanding of God, His word and its application to the everyday living out of our faith.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
Matthew 28:19–20Value 03
Ministry
Following Jesus’ example, we desire to learn and use our God-given gifts and passions to serve others.
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Mark 10:45Value 04
Evangelism
We try hard to become clear communicators of the good news of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
Romans 1:16Value 05
Fellowship
Believing the Christian life is meant to be lived in community with other believers, we spend time with each other, serve each other, and love each other.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together.”
Hebrews 10:24–25Value 06
Resource
Realizing that God is the provider of all our resources, we strive to use them faithfully in the fulfillment of our mission and leave a legacy of Christ in our community and our world.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.”
1 Peter 4:10What our values look like in real life
Our values aren’t abstract. They show up every week in real ways. Worship comes alive every Sunday at 9 AM with our choir and congregation. Discipleship happens through our Bible study groups on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Ministry takes shape through our ministries including GriefShare, foster care support, and Angel Meals. Evangelism drives everything from our sermons to our outreach. Fellowship lives in our men’s and women’s groups, our monthly breakfasts, and the conversations after every service. And Resource shapes how we steward everything God has given us, for the good of Gold Canyon and beyond.
