You’re Searching for a Church. We’re Glad You Found This.
If you’ve been looking for a church near San Tan Valley, AZ, you’ve probably noticed that the options can feel overwhelming, or underwhelming. Too big, too formal, too far, or just not quite right. We understand that feeling, and we want you to know that Superstition Foothills Baptist Church exists for people exactly like you.
We’re located in Gold Canyon, about 20 to 30 minutes from San Tan Valley depending on where you’re starting from. For a lot of families, that drive has turned into one of the best decisions they ever made. We hope it will for yours too.
What Sunday Morning Looks Like
Sunday mornings at Superstition Foothills are unhurried and genuine. We gather multiple times throughout the week. Sunday mornings include Worship at 9:00 AM and Bible Study at 10:30 AM. Midweek gatherings include Women’s Bible Study on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 AM, Evening Prayer on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM, and Thursday Evening Bible Study at 6:00 PM.
The 9:00 AM worship service is a blended service, meaning you’ll hear both traditional hymns and contemporary songs woven together. The music is led with care, not performance. After singing, Pastor Timothy Jennings opens the Bible and walks through it verse by verse. His style is clear, practical, and grounded. You won’t leave wondering what the sermon had to do with your life.
The 10:30 AM Bible Study hour is a chance to go deeper, ask questions, and connect with a smaller group of people studying the same passage together.
Dress is casual. Come as you are.
Kids and Families Are Welcome Here
If you’re a parent, you already know that finding a church isn’t just about you. It’s about whether your kids will be safe, engaged, and actually want to come back. We take that seriously.
Our kids ministry is free and serves children from infants through sixth grade. We use the AWANA curriculum, which is one of the most respected children’s discipleship programs available. It’s structured, Scripture-centered, and genuinely fun for kids. Many of our younger attendees look forward to it every week.
You can drop off your children in a safe, caring environment and walk into the worship service knowing they’re in good hands.

The Kind of Church We Are
We are a Baptist church, but if that word carries baggage for you, give us a chance to reintroduce it. We are not stiff or cold. There is no dress code, no pressure to perform, and no moment where a visitor is asked to stand up and introduce themselves to a room full of strangers.
What you will find is a congregation of real people who are trying to follow Jesus together. People with ordinary lives, honest questions, and a genuine warmth toward newcomers. Pastor Jennings leads with humility and a deep commitment to teaching the Bible as it is, not as a self-help guide, but as the living Word of God.
We are not a perfect church. We are a church that believes in a perfect Savior, and we want more people to know Him.
