Hello!
I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself and tell you what I believe the future will hold for this church in Gold Canyon.
My name is Tim Jennings and I was recently brought on staff at Superstition Foothills Baptist Church as the Lead Pastor. Over the past twenty years I have served in various positions of ministry. It was a phone call from my mentor that first brought me to Superstition Foothills Baptist Church. You see, I am a House Church Leader and I absolutely love it. But when Louis Spears called and said that there was a church in Gold Canyon that needed some help, I agreed to fill the role of Interim Teaching Pastor through the summer.
It was during that time that I began to get a feel for Superstition Foothills Baptist Church and saw some incredible potential within it if they just had a little more leadership to cast vision and steer the ship. I began to see how this church could lead the way in serving young families in the community. I saw people willing to work but had no unifying direction. I saw the hearts of people who desired nothing more than to see their church thrive even though the odds were against them.
And so that is where we are. We are a church under new leadership seeking to connect people to Jesus and one another. We want everyone in our community to know there is a place they can come, no matter what their past looks like, and make friends while learning about a loving God. We want to serve young families. We want to do everything we can for our seniors. We want to provide a safe place where young families, seniors, and everyone in between can come and get their questions answered.
We want everybody in Gold Canyon and its surrounding communities to know that God loves them and so do we! It is my prayer that if you have never visited Superstition Foothills Baptist Church, you’d come check us out. And if you go to Superstition Foothills Baptist Church, that you would jump on board and help lead the way in serving our community.
We have some big goals and even bigger dreams but we serve a great big God! Here’s to impacting Gold Canyon in a positive way!
